The 'Gamebooster' software actually looks vaguely interesting since you can toggle off Windows background services while you're gaming although, personal prejudice makes me inclined to think that it isn't a benevolent program which rains dollar bills from heaven and drops Megan Fox into your bed. The third party software may have some vaguely useful things but it's probably better to check them out individually and install them fresh from their source - or not, as they may well be loaded to the mamories with malware. The NVidia and ATI drivers could help - but you could get these directly without needing a custom OS. The majority of those alterations won't make a difference to the performance. Just a much more pleasurable experience than what MS gives you. Just like how most people think that beats headphones sound good, most people think that their gaming computer is running really well.
